Das Rote Kreuz Salzburg und die Gasteiner Bergbahnen bieten auch heuer wieder ihre gemeinsame Initiative „Erste Hilfe in den Bergen“ an. Am 15. und 29. Juli sowie am 15. August 2023 können Interessierte auf der Schlossalm vor imposanter Naturkulisse Erste Hilfe lernen.
In 35-minütigen Trainingseinheiten vermitteln Lehrbeauftragte und Notfallsanitäter:innen alles, was in den Bergen Leben retten kann. Beispiele: Wie versorgt man Sturzverletzungen, was sind Basismaßnahmen in Notfällen und welche Fähigkeiten braucht es zur Wiederbelebung?
Simon Röck, Leiter des Ausbildungsteams des Roten Kreuzes Gastein: „Wir verfolgen dieses Projekt mit Herz und Seele und sind der tiefen Überzeugung, dass es außerordentlich bedeutend ist. Es freut uns daher umso mehr, dass die Initiative in den vergangenen vier Jahren über 3.000 Teilnehmer angezogen hat.“
Rotes Kreuz Salzburg mit einem Angebot für alle
Das Angebot richtet sich an Menschen jeden Alters. Eleonora (8 Jahre) und Marios (10 Jahre) aus Dorfgastein sind sich einig: „Wir lernen etwas und können helfen. Das macht Spaß und ist cool!“
Auch Familie Johne aus Leipzig ist begeistert: „Die Lehrbeauftragten haben die Inhalte nachvollziehbar und logisch vermittelt. Jetzt wissen wir, was im Ernstfall zu tun ist und können Personen in Not helfen.“
Anfänge des Projektes reichen weit zurück
Angefangen hat alles im Jahr 1992 mit der Initiative „Ein Tal lernt retten“. Diese wurde mit Unterstützung der Gasteiner Bergbahnen 2018 um „Erste Hilfe in den Bergen“ erweitert. Jedes Jahr strömen nun hunderte Bergbegeisterte auf die Gasteiner Schlossalm, um Erste Hilfe zu erlernen und sich für das richtige Verhalten in einem Notfall sensibilisieren zu lassen. Alle Teilnehmenden erhalten nach Abschluss ein Zertifikat und ein Erste-Hilfe-Paket für den Wanderrucksack. Wer selbst mitmachen möchte, hat am 15. und 29. Juli sowie am 15. August 2023 die Chance.

First aid in the mountains: Red Cross Salzburg continues initiative
The Red Cross Salzburg and the Gasteiner Bergbahnen are offering their joint initiative "First Aid in the Mountains" again this year. On 15 and 29 July as well as on 15 August 2023, those interested can learn first aid on the Schlossalm against an imposing natural backdrop.
In 35-minute training sessions, instructors and emergency paramedics will teach everything that can save lives in the mountains. Examples: How do you treat fall injuries, what are the basic measures in emergencies and what skills are needed for reanimation?
Simon Röck, head of the training team of the Red Cross Gastein: "We follow this project with heart and soul and are deeply convinced that it is extremely important. We are therefore all the more pleased that the initiative has attracted over 3,000 participants in the past four years."

The offer is aimed at people of all ages. Eleonora (8 years) and Marios (10 years) from Dorfgastein report: "We learn something and can help. It's fun and cool!"
The Johne family from Leipzig is also enthusiastic: "The instructors conveyed the contents in a comprehensible and logical way. Now we know what to do in an emergency and can help people in need."
The beginnings of the project go back a long way
It all started in 1992 with the initiative "A Valley Learns to Rescue". With the support of the Gasteiner Bergbahnen, this was expanded in 2018 to include "First Aid in the Mountains". Every year, hundreds of mountain enthusiasts now come to the Gasteiner Schlossalm to learn first aid and be sensitised to the correct behaviour in an emergency. All participants receive a certificate and a first aid kit for their hiking backpacks after completing the course. Those who want to take part themselves will have the chance on 15 and 29 July and 15 August 2023.
