
To strengthen our international team, we are looking for a Climate Delegate (m/f/d) with a focus on climate action.
You will support partner National Societies in planning and implementing climate action projects, build technical and institutional capacities, and help develop proposals to access climate finance. Collaboration with local and international partners is a key part of this role.

Aufgabengebiet
- Ensure the development of high-quality programmes and support the preparation of project proposals.
- Lead sectoral assessments, contribute to programme design, budgeting, and technical coordination.
- Identify and scale up climate action components within strategies and programmes of partner Red Cross and Red Crescent National Societies in East Africa, the Middle East, Southeast and Eastern Europe.
- Develop strategies to mainstream climate action within AutRC’s international cooperation.
- Support network building by planning and coordinating training sessions, workshops, exchange visits, and working group meetings.
- Strengthen advocacy capacity and promote evidence-based knowledge sharing on climate and environmental issues.
Profil
- EU work permit preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of operational management experience in international humanitarian and/or development programming (NGO, IO, or charity); experience within the Red Cross / Red Crescent Movement is a strong asset.
- Sound knowledge of the role of social protection in EU and international climate policy, including its integration into adaptation, mitigation, and just transition frameworks (e.g. EU Green Deal, climate resilience strategies).
- University degree or diploma in international development, business management, or another relevant field.
- Proven experience in project development and management in collaboration with local implementing partners, including needs assessments, project design, implementation, and monitoring.
- Strong coordination, communication, organizational, and planning skills.
- Solid understanding of donor reporting, accountability standards, and compliance requirements.
- Experience in capacity building, facilitation, and delivering presentations; strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and in complex security environments.
- Excellent English skills (spoken and written); knowledge of German, French, Ukrainian or Russian is an asset.
- High motivation for humanitarian and development work with strong sensitivity to cultural diversity and inclusion.
