The project aims to improved capacity in disaster response for a direct target group of 5,835 persons in Inhambane and Sofala. The activities comprehend various (institutional) stakeholders in order to prepare-, coordinate-, and promptly mobilise an inclusive response to disasters .This wil provide to the selected communities a better preparedness and resilience against natural hazards. The project aims as well for gender equality and disability inclusion and for knowledge sharing, research and innovation on DRR.
The baseline survey contains over 50 questions designed in KoBo Toolbox. As a starting point, the survey will evaluate the current state and knowledge of inhabitants of Inhambane and Sofala provinces regarding climate-related disasters, gender equality, disaster preparedness, disability inclusion and local disaster risk management committees (LCDRM).
